For many people in the modern Western world there is a great big disconnect in their ability to see themselves as spiritual beings as well as physical bodies. This really means that most of us are walking around with imbalance in the energy centre that is associated with soulfulness and connection - the 7th Chakra, or Crown Chakra. Some common physical or emotional signs and symptoms of 7th Chakra imbalance are: acute or dulled sense of pain neurological issues numbness having the looks and energy of someone much older or younger than you are sensitivity to surroundings abnormal day/ night patterns headache or migraine pineal gland issues If these are things that you are regularly dealing with in your physical life then you might like to consider bringing back some more balance into the Crown of your energy. This video will give you further insight into how to tell if you do have an imbalanced 7th Chakra and also what to do about it if you do! If you would prefer to read the full text of the Blog, it was published by Sivana. I mention that you can use Crystals and Essential Oils to help promote balance through the Surroundings aspect of Evenstar 5 Star Wellbeing. These are the ones that I would recommend for your Crown Chakra: Crystals Diamond – spiritual evolution, life purpose, brain health Sapphire –
This month’s Full Moon is on Friday 23rdNovember at 5.07pm, in Melbourne. Its energy is always felt for a few days either side. The full moon this month lands in the sign of Gemini – the dualistic twins. This is a very energising sign – the whole ‘2 is better than 1’ phenomenon! The Gemini moon also occurs in the Sagittarius sun sign period. Gemini is an air sign and Sagittarius is a fire sign, and we all know what happens when you give air to a fire – fierce burning, perhaps a lot of smoke, and then potentially a rapid burnout! As always we want to strive for balance and resist letting our own energies becoming too overactive with this universal energy. Gemini all about extremes rather than balance so beware! Prelude to the December Full Moon The Full Moon in December will also still remain in Gemini but the sun sign will have just flipped over to Capricorn so the energy will be somewhat different. However, you will have the opportunity with the November full moon to uncover a truth – and I’m about to talk all about communication here! – and for the December full moon to really bring that truth home to roost. Communication, Communication, Communication Gemini is very communication focused but as we have just had Mercury (planet of communication) go into retrograde this could
October's Full Moon (on the Thursday 25th in Australia) is in the sign of Taurus which gives it a bit of a different flavour to the general full moon energy that supports us to finish, close off and let go of things that no longer serve us. Taurus likes to hold on and not to look too deep! Find out what to do about this so that you can clear the decks for the next four weeks, for change and growth to occur in any area of your life. If you'd prefer to read my article on the topic, it was published by Sivana East. I offer Meditation & Healing Circles at each of my locations every month to help you get in touch with all energetic levels of your body - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - and access what you need to let go of. These are small group events to promote healing and relaxation through meditation and energy balance.
In September, we are so lucky today to be able to celebrate both the Spring Equinox, which occurs on Saturday 22nd, and the September full moon, which occurs on Monday 24th, and sits in the sign of Aries. Spring Equinox We have two points in the year where the length of the day and the night are equal – one in autumn and one in spring. This is because at these points Mother Earth lies flat in her orbit of the sun, so neither the north, nor the south pole are tilted away from the sun, allowing access to equal amounts of life giving solar energy everywhere on our planet. From this point forward, here in the southern hemisphere, we gradually get more and more daylight until summer solstice, in the second half of December. From an energetic point of view, this position in the astrological calendar is a very important celebration of the return of the force of life itself, after the cold, dark, dormant winter period. It is at this point that light overpowers dark – which is a forceful archetypal concept in most cultures, and definitely in ours. We need light to survive! Spring brings with it is the opportunity for new beginnings. New Beginnings This year we have also had heavy astrological energy over winter with 3 eclipses and multiple retrogrades – meaning that planets and
You probably keep hearing how meditation is so good for you and hopefully you also keep thinking to yourself “I really should start doing that”?! So what is stopping you? This blog is about the Top 3 Excuses for not Meditating that I hear from my clients when I suggest that it would be a good idea for them to consider meditation as a tool to improve their wellbeing. More importantly I will tell you how to overcome these excuses! Why should you meditate? So, what are you missing out on by not meditating? Meditation has been around for thousands of years and now been scientifically proven to be good for us! It is not just some hippie, woo woo practice that people in flowing purple robes do on mountain tops! Many of the world’s most successful people – think Tony Robbins, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Katy Perry, Clint Eastwood – all practice meditation! Why? Because meditation makes you better at life!! (I stole that from Emily Fletcher, meditation teacher to the stars at Ziva Meditation in New York). Neurologists have now been able to prove that meditation actually changes the structure and function of the brain – for the better! – including improving the connections between the right and left hemispheres. In today’s world we use our left brain way more than the right – we are always trying
